The Programme concerns the expansion and upgrading of the existing Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI) in Dong Nai. This is to be achieved by constructing new buildings and teaching facilities as well as by procurement of technical equipment and other teaching supplies. The purpose of the Programme is to create a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Green TVET, by adhering to strict ecological and environmental standards, and to enable the VCMI to offer demand oriented vocational training focusing in the field of sustainability and green growth. This is to contribute to enhancing the supply of qualified labourers according to the demand of green and sustainable economic development.

The following Programme activities shall be financed from the Loan:

  • Partial financing of construction of additional buildings;
  • Procurement, delivery and installation of machines, training equipment and teaching materials for VCMI and related initial training provided by the suppliers;
  • Consulting services for planning and implementation of the Financial Cooperation component.

 

Experts' Profiles

The Consultant team shall comprise international and national key experts: architects with experience in design and construction of similar projects, civil engineers (technical infrastructure, site supervision), and financial experts (project financing). The team shall also be experienced in the fields of master planning, architecture, functional planning, engineering, construction supervision, equipment (machines, training equipment and teaching materials), procurement and financial management.
