PEM GmbH is an independent private consulting firm providing advisory services and technical assistance to public institutions, private sector organisations and individual enterprises in developing countries and economies in transition.
Since 1977 PEM GmbH has been operating in all major fields related to sustainable development and gained in-depth experience in a wide range of geographic, economic and political settings. From its very beginning, PEM recognises the vital role of private entrepreneurial activities, the enhancement of qualifications and employability and the for the sustainable development of economies.
Our guiding vision is to contribute jointly with our partners to a globally sustainable development expressing itself in economic efficiency, social justice, and ecological sustainability. Human, ecological and social needs have to be considered when shaping globalisation, ensuring that no region or population group is excluded or marginalised and poverty is to be reduced.
Regional focuses of PEM’s activities lay in the Mediterranean, Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa – its major clients being national and international financing institutions and donor-agencies, public institutions and private customers.
